Sasken designed satellite terminals operating in a geostationary satellite system for the customer.

The customer aimed to enhance the current satellite equipment family by transitioning to a more sophisticated system. This new system was designed to be built upon the 4G LTE specification. 

Our proposal included a portable terminal with an integrated antenna and an external antenna interface, a fixed terminal designed for stationary and tracking installations featuring active and passive antenna interfaces, and an active external antenna tailored for fixed installations compatible with both mobile and fixed terminals. Our design solution comprised complete terminal designs, management and support for prototype manufacturing, verification measurements, and certification support and measurements. 

The customer received a new satellite product family and at the same time debuted as the world first LTE-over-satellite system operator.
