First slide

The customer required several interconnecting devices, including two different terminals, a handset, and an external antenna. Meeting this requirement was challenging due to the intricate specifications and cross-continental design efforts spanning over multiple locations. Moreover, the incorporation of new technology added an extra layer of complexity to the project.

The development of a next-generation LTE-over-Satellite product line necessitated a series of interconnected components: two distinct terminals, a handset, and external antennas. With demanding specifications and requirements from the outset, the design process was distributed globally to realize this innovative technology. Sasken was tasked with delivering antenna solutions for all the devices in the product family.

After concept simulations that met customer requirements, extensive prototype testing was conducted, and the antenna solutions were constantly refined in every step of the design process. Sasken also provided production and type approval support for mass production after the design was finalized.

The customer was the first in the world in this technology field and the product family deployed successfully.
