A medical product manufacturer was dissatisfied with the Bluetooth antenna performance in their product and there was no better commercial off-the-shelf solution available. The challenge was with the product having a small volume and metal components close to the antenna.

Customer needed to get the antenna to meet RF specifications as well as challenging mechanical requirements.

The customer supplied 3D models of both the product and the existing antenna solution, serving as the foundation for simulating an improved antenna solution. A crucial aspect involved simultaneously exploring various mechanical options to achieve a harmonious balance, recognizing the close relationship between antenna performance and mechanical design.

Ultimately, a customized Bluetooth antenna solution was devised for the customer, necessitating only minimal alterations to the mechanics. Subsequently, the customer seamlessly integrated the antenna into their subsequent prototypes with favorable outcomes.

A working antenna solution allowed the customer to finish the product and launch it to the market.
