Creation of an Integrated 2D Barcode Camera Sensor

Sasken pioneered a novel integration of a 2D Barcode Camera Sensor before the release of Android 10, commencing the project. The objective was to efficiently incorporate a third camera onto the platform while adhering to a stringent speed target for transferring images from the sensor to the Android user space.

Sasken conducted requirement analysis, assessed the feasibility of requirements, engaged in discussions and analysis of concepts, designed the Graphics Pipeline Architecture, implemented the Android camera Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL), developed an Android camera application for hardware validation purposes, and formulated test plans, test case plans, and test documentation for validating hardware components. 

The customer was provided with a fully operational integration of a 2D barcode camera sensor.
